Hello Bev! I watch you all the time! I preserve, freeze, dehydrate and ferment. No waste. Anywho I have been using wax paper/dry wax paper for years in my dehydrator. I started with the solid round like you in your video. I did notice longer times for the wax paper. I started poking holes in the wax paper with an ice pick and it worked. It cut down the time. It is almost deer season here in Arkansas, and that means the hubby will be getting geared up. I hunt sometimes, but since I am older, just bring me the meat and I will process and put up, lol! Keep being you, that is the only way to Take care and be safe! P.S. If you ever need a recipe you can't find, I have over 400 cookbooks, I read them cover to cover, so I probably have the recipe, lol! I don't have any Canadian cookbooks, that might be my next adventure! Dee

I just discovered dehydrating and watched many YOU TUBE people. You by far are the best and my favorite.

Great tips! Genius to put that little measuring cup over the center hole of the food dehydrator...I will be doing that from now on.

I did this also. It makes the very best garlic powder ever. I store it with an air absorber in the jar.

At the local farmer's market here in southern Alberta a bulb is $2.00 - I bought one and will be using it to plant this fall - with any luck I will have my own next year. I will buy nothing from China. I am canning local grown foods, my own garden produce and hope to spend very little money in the stores this winter - It will be an interesting winter.

I like to pre grind the garlic before I dehydrate it, then grind again once it is done. It makes a more consistent finished product.
