love that line: "it's not about being realistic, it's about making it believable" - you sir inspire me.

The way you flip those pages, alone, shows the years of experience behind it. This is basic animation technique, but you go beyond the basics and show real emotions through this 4 second shot. Simply amazing.

I always wanted to animate, but never liked digital art that became so popular in my generation. Now, I am not insulting digital artists, but it just isn't for me. But lately I have been practicing more traditional animation (like 30 seconds to 1 minute scenes) and I am starting to actually like what I draw. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration.

I have so much respect for people who do traditional animation. Animation itself is already a ton of work, but TRADITIONAL animation is just insane. I don't have the same kind of patience, so I'll be sticking with (hand drawn) Flash animation for now.

I can remember a high-school friend of mine and myself would do animation as a time passer. We'd hook up usually on Friday evenings. He was exceptionally talented at drawing, and animation. Where I am more of a cartoonist. Between his work and mine, the sky was the limit.
Great job here to this master of animation. Thank-you for sharing your skills.

This guy explains it step by step and I still find it impossible to comprehend. Closest thing to a magic for sure.

The traditional animation has always been my favourite, for many reasons. One of them being that you can feel how much hard work was put into each frame, each little movement, and the fact that the animator needed to draw the same thing over and over and over again to make it move smoothly. Nowadays, with the help of computers, lots of these things have lost their touch--CGI and computer generated things are hard work, sure, but it's much more simple now because of rigging.

I'm so happy to find this. I'm left-handed and none of my animation friends could show me how to flip the paper properly. This is great thank you.

I study animation at university both traditional and computer created. Whenever I see traditional animation come to life it puts SUCH a huge smile on my face! It's like bringing life and vibrancy to a character. It's literally like it has come to life and it's so magical!

You're making it seem easy, but that smoothness we're seeing is the product of years of experience. Traditional animation is a very laborious art!

The work your doing is so important, it swims against the tide of 3D animation, nothing against 3D but the magic starts in the hand drawn stuff. Excellent.

Thanks for demonstrating the hand craft of animation, that is where the "magic" is!

Man, am I the only one who appreciates all types of animation instead of saying one's true animation?

EDIT:"Am I the only one.." Oh dear god that beginning, of course I'm not the only one!
