Love this and agree 100%. The same can be said about anything handmade/homemade, and I've come to realize that I always enjoy the "imperfections" in other ppl's work but not in my own, so I realized I needed to give myself more grace and focus on a piece as a whole.

I made a log cabin quilt top during Covid. It was the first time I had returned to sewing in YEARS. I think k it’s 6 blocs wide by 7 long. Big enough for a really excellent throw. Anyway, I was stitching along, adding rows and pressing seams, and noticed that I had sewn the 4th row on upside down. Not inside out, just upside down. My choices were to rip that row off and re-sew, or just go with it. I called that one “stir crazy, ” and left it as is. Still a very bright and happy piece! It’s okay if every single point doesn’t match perfectly. We are our own worst critics. 🫣

Really lovely, I don't understand why it's so hard because I don't sew, but Miss lady this will be great, bless your heart, in the good way, so pretty

This is good advice for all artists actually, so very wise. I will take this with me as I continue through art school 💕

This is so important. No mistakes, just happy accidents :)

Quilters have a saying. It's not a mistake, it's a variation.
