2012 Shelby Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

Sorry about how this video turned but this car had an early run number & so I couldn't go in-depth with it. Aside from that, theres was lots of glare which explains why I inserted so many pictures throughout the vid.

This pony has a supercharged 5.4L DOHC V8 which pumps 550 HP to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual. This is the latest evolution of the 5.4L Intech V8 engine which 1st saw life in the 1999 Lincoln Navigator, later in The Ford GT40 & Mustangs.

I agree. The Mustang really was THE car that reshaped the way we thought of cars, and made what you were driving an extension of you. It was a way to make a statement about yourself, and that didn't really exist before the Mustang. Throughout all the years, the Mustang still does just that. I think that more than anything else is the reason why the Mustang remains the only American muscle/pony that was never discontinued from production.. it was, is, and always will be, our legend.

As a mustang owner myself, I can say that they're obviously not as exotic or technically impressive as a car like the gtr (gasp). But they're not meant to be. Out of all the cars in the world, there is just something about the Mustang that makes it special.. you feel a little bit of magic everytime you turn it on. That v8 cranks out power through the exhaust and it pops and crackles off in the distance and the car lets you know its ready to go for a ride.

No, that doesn't mean when the car is low on oil, low oil pressure, nor is there a detector that senses if the oil is dirty. It's almost always measured by the mileage ran, or possibly the engine's runtime like a jet engine but that method is quite unlikely.

I've recently heard that the fuel cools the in-tank pump and letting the fuel level run below the 'low fuel indicator' can damage the pump due to potential overheating. Makes sense (on the surface) to me.

The vast majority of amateurs don't know the 2 basic things to remember when recording video, and that is to hold or keep the camera steady, and keep the subject in frame. With a little practice anyone can do it, I can do it and it almost looks professional, it just requires a little concentration.

That was beautiful. It's the character the car provides that give it that extra umph. The gtr is great looking/fast/versatile. But something about it seems too uniform. It used to be "The Skyline" Now it's just the Gtr. It's lost a lot of it's personality whereas the mustang still keeps that tradition.

Nice GT500! I love that Ford took about 100 pounds right off the front end by switching to an aluminum block for 2011+ That was a great decision.

The Mustang GTs come with the new 5.0 engine, but this is no ordinary GT! This is a Shelby GT500 which comes with a totally different engine... the 5.4 Supercharged which cranks out around 662hp!!! I believe this is the exact same engine which was used in the Ford GT mid-engine supercars!

seems like you know a lot about mustang cars. is it possible to rebuild the car so it get yellow turn signals in its rear? otherwise it would not be street legal in my country.
