2012 Chevy Cruze engine turns over but won’t start

Went into a store to get a drink, came out and the car wouldn’t start. We tried jumping it and it’ll turn over but won’t start. I got it towed home and I replaced the spark plugs, the coil pack, and tried starter fluid. You can hear the fuel pump kick on. Any thoughts? 147,000 miles are on it.

Any idea what it was? Or could be? Cuz were having the same problem!

Purge valve fixed my 12 Cruze with 1.4L experiencing same problem plus some dieseling after shutdown. Part# 55573017 List $49.63 Net $28.54. Good luck!

Timing belt? Sounds like the valves are hitting the pistons
