375K a week. Main man wages requires main man numbers, simple as.

The key is "USED TO BE". The games moved on. You cant win the league with 80 points anymore. The increase in teams using false 9 means wingers need to hit those numbers now.

Ronaldo and Messi aside, David Villa/Henry really started the modern wave of strikers off the wing

Why is he mentioning Mane and Son with Salah? Salah is literally in a completely different league of his own and including him with them is unfair. Props to him tho for being different at the end and admitting how miles Salah is ahead of everyone and a completely different beast. He’s been doing this year in year out no matter the circumstances and he never gets his props at least not as much as everyone else and people who do less than him regularly do. It’s absolutely mad. Always deliberately undermined, not mentioned and dismissed. The records he’s broken are insane and can’t even be counted as well. You have 0 ball knowledge having blasphemous people saying Saka and Rashford are better when you can’t even mention those lot in the same sentence as Salah.
Doesn’t have anyone in the media pushing for him as well since he isn’t English, European, South American, or Black so he gets 0 support.

You shouldn't call them wingers really, they are wide forwards, these arent the 442 days

Glad he's at least acknowledging that mo is miles ahead of rashford unlike some delusional mancs that started claiming he's better after 1 purple patch. Please

I was saying the same thing when everyone was saying Grealish is a bust cause he doesn't score and that Sterling was done cause he isn't scoring much, it's the same thing with Mané.
People forget wingers are still basically midfielders that's why they slot into RM and LM positions seamlessly.

Boys don’t know the difference been a wide midfielder and wide forward. Comparing silva to salah is ridiculous. And rashford falls in to the wide forward category so yes he should be scoring like he has this year consistently tbh

The play In a FRONT 3! Their numbers should be higher than the traditional winger who focused more on assists rather than goals.

Also top Assists not just scores. Creativity and Goal Scoring . The standard is ultra high but if you don't excel in any of that, you dont ask for above 200k a week.

Maybe people should stop comparing their wingers to Mane and Salah? To show how good they both are in 18/19 they both won the golden boot. You will not get that again where a club has 2 wingers that are golden boot winners in the same season but then again everyone calls them overrated so keep doing it

United fans talking about wingers blows my mind😄 avoiding a fidget spinner they bought.

And hazard who carried chelsea for 7 years. He also didn't have the best numbers but was always the best player (at chelsea and lille)

Arjen Robben started this freaking trend at Chelsea

CR7 did it consistently as winger for majority of his career

Calling Salah and Son wingers is a bit of a stretch. The traditional winger played out wide and crossed the ball into the box. Salah and Son spend a fair amount of time playing centrally, especially Salah last season...

Goal scoring wingers hopefully get out of style for me. I love a traditional winger/ wide player like ousmane dembele who’a going to take a 1v1 dribble and will always cross it in the box rather than always cutting inside and playing the half space. “Old school” wingers used to have unique styles of play as well these days it’s all the same thing I feel

Main problem is knowing the difference between wingers and strikers. Just cos they play out wide don't necessarily mean they wingers.
