Adani might have been one of the pillars in India, but many are saying that India is not just Adani, as the scandal so far had no contagion effects. Despite this, there have been waves of protests from the opposition parties, and the lack of jobs is felt by those who work in Adani's factories and ports. Hindenburg makes money by shorting the stock. It shorted Adani stocks before/around the report was made public. They have since covered their shorts and made hundreds of millions of dollars. In the past, many companies have done this and made money.
