Probably one of his last filmed performances. My Dad and Mac Gayden wrote this song. Robert was a very sweet, true gentlemen. God rest his soul.

I too cried at this. I can feel strength through the fragility of his voice. Thank you for setting the bar. You are missed, Robert.

Something about a man, well past his prime, singing this song is really sweet. He may not sound as good as he once did, but you can tell he still means it.

This performance was a celebration of Robert Knight's life, while he was still living!

Unquestionably one of the greatest songs of all time. The number of people who copied it shows what a significant song it was. Watching Robert W. Knight perform it one last time brought tears to my eyes. Was unaware that he had passed away. But just like "Everlasting Love, " Mr. Knight will forever.

My wife and I were lucky enough to have a daughter attending Vanderbilt University when Mr. Knight was being honored at halftime of a Vanderbilt Commodore's football game. Mr. Knight sang everlasting love with the marching band. It was fantastic the students and fans were rocking. I'll never understand why this didn't become a tradition at Vandy. Mr. Knight worked at Vanderbilt for some 20 years.

Thank you so much for this video. There is no substitute for the original 'Everlasting Love'.

Robert Knight said that he has got grand kids and is so tire of making love, physical love that is.  But anyone who can write those beautiful words could never be out of love.  His body might be old, but his heart is probably full of love.  As he is the original everlasting love.

God Bless Robert Knight.

I am both happy and sad that I just tuned into this. I was with a friend the other day and this song came on the radio. I said, " God, I just love this". So I came home and went to YouTube to listen to it again. I had no idea that Mr. Knight had left us, but delighted in how much I enjoyed his work. Seeing him get up there to bring this to us one more time made me cry. Thank you Sir. Now I believe you sing with the angles.
