Struggling to pick fabric for your quilt? Walking into a fabric store can be intimidating; there are too many beautiful fabrics to choose from! Today I took my friend (a beginning quilter) to Joann's to pick fabrics for a Log Cabin Quilt. A Log Cabin Quilt is a great beginner quilt, but you want to make smart choices with your fabric or it looks way too busy!

Love your help and explaining, thx. If i would make a queen size log cabin quilt, just for the one side of the duvet cover, how much material would i need please. Would you say it is safe to buy the full size of a duvet cover, one side, only? Thx. My idea is to start a small square in the middle and keep on working to the full side is complete.
