Bob On Ride POV - Efteling (1985-2019)

Bob operated at Efteling in The Netherlands between 4th April 1985 and 1st September 2019. This Custom Swiss Bob ride was manufactured by Intamin and took riders on a journey through the woods via 1,719ft of track. The ride had a maximum height of 66ft and a top speed of around 37mph. The ride operated for the last time on September 1st 2019 before demolishion took place to prepare the area for Max + Moritz, a new Mack Powered Coaster opening in 2020.

I will never forgive Efteling for tearing this down, and Intamin for not providing spare parts anymore. This was my first rollercoaster. It will stay in my heart forever. Fly high, bob.

There's a small mistake in your description. Bob opened in 1985, not in 1995 ;-)

We ride this just last week and it was certainly feeling it’s age but the park have done well to keep it going. The layout is great and I imagine with smoother trains it could be a great ride.

I know Efteling have applied for more acres of land for new themed area and other rides so surly Bob could be re-bulit either with Intamin again with the upgraded parts like magnetic breaks etc or MACK could build one as you know they still have many Swiss Bob rides at other Theme Parks around the world :-)
Also other ones like- Zamperla, Vekoma etc
