I always thought it was ridiculous that Jane Foster decided to call herself 'Mighty Thor'.
Woman, please. Get over yourself.

First of all, 100% of her power comes from Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, & not even because she was worthy, but only because, in a moment of emotional weakness, Thor gave her special permission to wield Mjolnir.
Her powers are just a conditional copy of his, so it isn't possible for her to be any 'mightier' than he is.

Second, the name 'Thor' is not a codename or a pseudonym, like Captain America or Iron Man. It's his real given name that his parents decided on when he was born. That'd be like if you found the sword Excalibur & just started carrying it around & introducing yourself to people as 'King Arthur'.
