There is a detailed video of the incident featuring the pilots involved except the Russian pilot. The video features the Swedish pilots and the Blackbird’s pilot. The American pilot is thanking the Swedish pilots that helped. If I remember correctly the Swedish pilots got some sort of commendation. Good video

The Russian's would have loved to get their hands on one of these. The MiG25 was a fast plane itself but only in a straight line and at high speeds it's engines started eating themselves and it was so heavy that it could carry fuel or weapons but not both. That's the reason Victor Belenko flew his MiG25 to Japan. That's as far as he could get on a tank of potato juice. Even then, the fuel tank was bone dry when he landed.

Edit What was comical was the way we returned the plane to the Soviets--one piece at a time. 😂
