I fished that stretch 30-some years ago. It was so awesome then, and glad to see it still is. I haven't made it back over there since my fishing buddy from I/F passed away in the early 90s. Thanks for sharing this with us. It holds all the ingredients, ie. fantastic water, beautiful and cooperative trout, and a great friend to share it with. I agree with you, Kelly, on the South Fork being right at the top of the list of best and favorite rivers. Thank You. P.S. We, too, used to joke about the price of certain flies. How there are three prices for some flies, the "friend" price, the "shop" price, and the "river" price. Sounds like "pinky" could get expensive.

I agree with Kelly. South Fork is the best river I have ever fished and I am so fortunate to be able to fish it often. Love fishing PMDs on the riffles!
