Dear Dr Brovkin,
I have watched with great interest most of your videos on Russian history and learnt enormously from them and been guided onto further study by your discussions.

I stumbled upon this one and I am profoundly affected by the quality of its content; I have always greatly
respected your humanity, the palpable feeling with which you describe the suffering of millions of
People under the Communist regime and your manifest sensitivity towards those masses of innocent citizens.

The moral question you posed at the end of this program is fascinating and troubling.
Many armchair communists I know discount human life and suffering as mere fringe factors and as a necessary cost of successful "class struggle" a trait I find quite uniformly repellent among those scholars.

I'm extremely baffled by the fact more people aren't aware of your channel.
I would appreciate a list of your books for further study.
Thank you for all your great work Sir.

I highly recommend, if you honestly want to learn about Communism and Stalin, you read Grover Furr's work. He provides factual arguments why the majority of what you hear about Communism and Stalin is not true. Make up your own mind. Read him, don't take my word, or any answer this guy might make to my comment. Read Furr's DETAILED, METICULOUS work. Think for yourself.
