Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) conducts the Exam for Lateral Entry (LE) for 700-800 engineering 2nd-year seats in various Bihar State Engineering Colleges, conducted once a year conducted in Online as well as Offline mode.
Qualification:
 There is no age limit for this exam.
 Candidates must have passed the Diploma examination with a minimum 45% aggregate in relevant engineering branches.
 Candidates must have passed B.Sc with at least 45% aggregate with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2
 Candidates with a B.Sc stream have to clear the Engineering Drawing subject of 1st year along with Engineering mechanics.
Exam Pattern:
 The exam duration is of 150 minutes.
 The exam paper will consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) consisting of 50 questions from Mathematics, 50 questions from Engineering Mechanics, and 50 questions from the English section.
 Each question will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.
 Total marks will be 600 marks (200 marks for each section)
 A minimum of 35 marks are needed to qualify for the English Section.
