Proves the old philosophies that any minor issue can become a major issue if left unattended to and to never underestimate your enemies. The goblins in this series almost always are about to cause a major issue before Goblin Slayer deals with them. For example, what would the town have done if the goblin Lord had destroyed cowgirls Farm? I'm not saying that there are not other farms in the area but that one has to be the closest and probably provides the most Goods to the guild.
Moreover, why is the king allowing groups of goblins to attack Merchants near the capitol? Wouldn't that affect local Commerce and trade?

It's kinda funny how the GS universe gave the goblins quite a high danger potential but then you go to other fictional universes and find that even the noobest of the noob adventurers really can just deal with them no problem. Makes me wonder if the goblins really are just dangerous or nearly all of the characters in GS are just plain dumb.

I am pretty sure the "Northerners Barbarians" also call goblins orcs but those goblins are slightly bigger and more muscular.

Minor spoilers.

During the series Goblin Slayer makes sure to kill every goblin he encounters so they can't pass his strategies to other goblins yet he can see the goblins he fight getting smarter or at least coming up with weapons and strategies that seem created to counter his.

It is speculated that the gods themselves give the goblins this knowledge to make their games more interesting especially because all indicate that goblins never create new things they either steal or are given stuff which include ideas like using arrows with a loose arrowhead so it stays in the wound when the arrow is taken out so the metal poison the goblin.

Goblins also seem able to survive in any enviroment since GS and his friends have fought them in the jungle, desert, frozen mountains and even the sea in stolen viking ships.
