Touch Sensitive (LP that I bought at the time of its release) was clearly his attempt to distance himself and take a different path than the one he had followed up to that point with The Jam, only that he did it in the wrong direction. He got bogged down in the swamp of the most vulgar New Wave and the critics didn't let him go scot-free. An excellent bass player with little talent for innovation.
