I think they've got to invest more into developing their own talent for the long term. Short term? Maybe a new head coach?

Wow, look at Ireland's points difference. The only other team in positive territory was France and then only barely. As for Scotland, again, the only team to deny Ireland a bonus point. They're almost there, but the big problem for Scotland is inconsistency, a bit like the old France, you don't know what team will show up.

Put simply appart from when they play England they cannot deal with expectation.There is a saying concerning the barbers cat which describes them.

Scotland… one poor game, narrowly lost to Italy away. Awful decision against France otherwise they would have come second in the tournament. Great tournament all the same and Ireland worthy winners.

England were dire in that defeat, and the French weren’t much better, but still won. This is a good Scottish side but not a great rugby side.

My opinion you can some Scotland up they remind me of Belgium football team plenty of quality player's but choke on the big stage they can't consistently put a eighty minute performance together it's a shame because do try to entertain the rugby fan's 🏉🏉🧐👍

This is an overhyped Scottish squad. Yes the backs are amazing and talented but the forwards are average at best and no one fears a Scottish pack. Throw in an average at best coaching group and batting for 3/4 is about this team’s limits. Once this group is gone then the future is bleak

To your point about the future, they can only be competitive by identifying foreign players who meet the eligibility criteria.

Poor choice of captain this year and perhaps time for a coaching change.

From a Scottish perspective, as long as they beat England they seem reasonably satisfied.

Do they believe their own hype, get complacent and arrogant after periods of fluent rugby or wins over England? Is this epitomised by the brilliant Finn Russell?

Scotland gave up everything they’re good at to play a defensive game. They created nothing and paid that price. They need to figure out which way they’re going to play and have a back up plan. They need a bigger better bench but I still think use your strengths Russell and work your game around him.
