I decided to try watercolor pencils in one of my adult coloring books. Now, I have to get a full set (or two) of them! Feel free to recommend me your favorite brands. :)

There is one big difference: all of these will RE-activate with water EXCEPT the Inktense. They are not strictly watercolor pencils, they're water-activated INK pencils. Once the inktense color dries, it is permanent. For some artists, that is a distinct advantage since you could lay down a base color of inktense (like a yellow), then use other water-based media over it (like a blue watercolor pencil or neocolor ii) and not end up with green.

Definitely, I recommend the Albrecht Durer from Faber Castell. You can used them wet or dry and the results are amazing!!

I recommend Museum Aquarelle, especially if you intend to move beyond adult coloring as an artist. They are the most lightfast and a professional grade pencil.

That looks beautiful! You obviously have a natural talent for watercolours so would like to see you do bigger pages. Like most others I would highly recommend getting a full set of both the Albrect Durers and Derwent Inktense then you'd be set. I would also recommend putting a thick sheet of paper behind the page you are colouring. Best wishes. X

Try a small set of Prisma watercolor pencils. I got mine at Wal-Mart. I looove them as well as Inktense. Inktense is a full set I would definitely recommend.

I own Albrecht Durer, Derwent Watercolor, Inktense, Kohinoor Mondeluz, Goldfaber, Supracolor, and Museum Aquarelle. I've tried many others. I'd suggest Albrecht Durer. They are very good quality wet and dry, come in 120 colors so a nice big palette, and are less expensive and easier to find open stock.

I use watercolour pencils more than regular ones. I highly recommend Derwent Inktense & Derwent Watercolour & Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz.
This picture was beautifully done.

Albrecht durer since they compliment with polychromos. Both have similar shades. I use durers first then poly after drying.

If you could either notate or show the name of the pencil you are using for a moment it would be helpful if we are following along.

Thank you for the videos, very interesting and very nice. Could you please tell me if the Albrecht Durer and Derwent Inktense bleed through the paper of Small Victories? If not is there any ghosting from them on the other side of the page?
