The History and Interpretations of The Library of Babel

The Library of Babel is a short story, written by Argentine author Jorge Luis Borges. In it, the narrator describes a massive library containing all possible combination of letters and punctuation sorted into innumerable volumes. The core idea behind this story is not a new one, but what is the history of this idea, what makes Borges' interpretation so unique, and what has been done with the idea since?

surprised there's not more views on this. the video starts off pretty dry but becomes entrancing once you get into the flow of it. my suggestion would be to give it a more alluring title, say, "the hidden truths of the library of babel by jorge luis borges" and start the video off with more energy and intrigue. most people tend to watch only the first few seconds of a video or check the number of views before deciding to stick around, so if you want more people to watch through to the end you need to draw their attention right away.
