Hiking to Wairere Falls - the Tallest in New Zealand's North Island

Just a short drive from the Hobbiton Movie Set is Wairere falls, the tallest waterfall on New Zealand's North Island. This is a tough hike, uphill and climbing over boulders before eventually getting to a huge staircase in the forest. The views are worth it though - fortunately for you we did the hiking so you just get to see!
