Discovery learning at BSM

Discovery Learning: “The world isn’t divided into maths, science and topic. It’s one big subject.”

We are very proud to have been shortlisted for “Outstanding Teaching Initiative” in the BIS Awards 2018 for our Discovery Learning approach to learning in BSM’s Primary School.

Through ‘Discovery Learning’ pupils cover objectives in the English National Curriculum with the subjects linked through their topic. For example, Year 3’s Egyptians topic has included exploring light by making, writing, performing and filming Egyptian shadow puppet theatres.
