I always get annoyed when working in html and having lot of divs, this feature is a game changer 👍👍

This is really great as someone that is new to coding and primarily works on already completed projects that have a ton of code in each file. Helps browsing the data faster

OMG YES, my students would have a blast with it. I really want more customization there, priority on thick border as you say.

You could style the background color through your user settings (eg "#333") inside the workbench.colorCustomizations section.

I just looked this feature up and Emacs already has it since 2015. Called topsy or semantic-stickyfunc-mode extensions. I'm happy! Looks really helpful! Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

The idea of having a border below the stucked portion is great. Maybe someone is going to add that

This is amazing! Thanks for sharing. I agree they need better styling, even a slightly lighter background color would be perfect

It's not only absolutely game-changing, it's positively paradigm-shattering. The world of web development will never be the same again.

Alright thanks for the tip! But it's clear that more work needs to be put into it indeed, especially to get a visual better separation between those lines and your actual code.
For the HTML or XML kind of code it feels as a very great solution, but and I am not shure if I keep using it with C family programming languages, since it tends to look a bit more messy and also because it takes a lot of space away from your actual code area that you are working on.

Unfortunately doesn’t work with JSX in react for big html trees
