This exact thing happened to me at the laugh factory. I was there for the first and only time I’ve been there, to see Godfrey and Bob Sagat. After Bob finished his set he took a bow and said “a friend of mine wants to come up for a few minutes” and Robin Williams ran up on stage. He stayed for an hour and a half. It was one of the coolest experiences I’ll ever have. My face hurt the next day.

I think a lot of us took Robin Williams for granted. I remembered hearing about his death and being like oh wow.... That sucks and I went back to doing whatever I was doing.
But recently I was re-watching Aladdin with my niece and nephew.
It had me thinking of all the great childhood movies he was in, Peter pan, delt fire, flobber, jumanji and even his more serious roles like goodwill hunting and many others.
Then as we we're watching Aladdin the part where he said
"never had a friend like me, never had a friend like me."
I couldn't help but tear up.
My little nephew asked why I was crying.
All I could say was I never realized how amazing he was and now he's gone. 😞

Robin was my hero. I'll always have so much appreciation, love and respect for people like him. That man was suffering so much and was inches from killing himself and he still made fans laugh and spent time with them. Robin Williams is my hero cause he was dedicated to making everyone else laugh through their pain even when he couldn't himself.

Robin Williams and Steve Erwin are some of the saddest moments for me when it comes to celebrity deaths.. Steve Erwin more than any.. I cried my eyes out, like ugly crying and cried myself to sleep for days after. I was dead set on meeting Steve and shaking his hand. That was in my top 3 bucket list things to do. I grew up watching Robin Williams and laughing to it hurt many many times, he was an amazing actor and phenomenal comedian but beyond all the a great and awesome person, man with a huge heart.. Depression sucks..

I’m only mad at robin for not giving my kids the same inspiration he gave me. He was absolutely 100% PERFECT in my eyes. You learn so much from the movies in the 90s and early 2000s. I still love him and miss him.
