im not really a BMW guy/Fan ...but wow this is something that could really shape our car lovers future!!!! great idea and man these innovations are so impressive.

It says it only charges the battery while the gas pedal is up so when the fuel is not needed. However, it doesn’t say if the alternator powers the electrical consumers like lights, electric pumps, steering, ECU...or the battery does that while the pedal is pressed. This way saves much more fuel. The battery is a deep cycle so that it can run longer before being charged and also can be charged 5x faster. These properties are essential to operate the system otherwise it would be useless.
Also it has little in common with a hybrid system because the energy stored cannot be used to produce wheel power. But it’s a good idea since it can be implemented on any car by only adding an AGM battery, better alternator and a charging unit and software

This has been available in Audi for quite some time now. I am glad I sold my 335xi, worst lemon out of all lemons. Never buying a BMW again. Fix the damn fuel pump.

why is a tech and concept copied from Toyota/Lexus hybrid drive anything new or innovative? I like you BMW and I drive a couple of ALPINA models, but this is like Apple, steal ideas and designs from other companies then make them as if they were yours, just sad, you are better than this, BMW.
