This is absolutely the best most detailed home made fence I've ever seen. I'll be using this to upgrade my horrible one that came with my saw. Thanks!

Fantastic creative craftsman without use of fancy shmancy equipment and totally down to earth. HMR appears to not be available in my area however and its better than MDF for sure.... Overall about as wonderful as a Youtube DIY creation as can be expected. Clearly this is an engineer who does woodworking!

This is a really good video of a really well done project. I usually don't like that kind of artificial voice, but you used it only as needed to add to the video. Turns out it's good for that. Nice sound track, too.

Just a friendly tip. You don't square your fence with the blade, you square it to the miter slot. The blade can be out of square with the miter slot which is another issue all together. The miter slots are perfectly square with the table top. I'm not going to put down the build, it came out very nice and you should be happy with it. I would just make a few changes. But over all, it's good.

Listening my friend wood and wheels I’m happy whit the design I see other people making differently but this one just perfect I don’t like to go and pay 300 o400 pounds I say pounds because I’m from Colombia but I live in London go to Colombia see how people there make fence for table saws first the table is like wonky and the fence nothing like this one any way for me is very nice actually I started making my own on little different but very close thanks my friends good luck and goodbye 👍👍👍🙏

Theres a lot of wiggle between near and far edges. You'd have to measure each, the check square every time - right? Same as OEM fence? Wouldnt it be better to, after first lip, install or route a T/miter track on that, square n/f mitre guides, and it would glide evenly?

I made a similar one last year. I put my spirit level along the blade and scribed a fine line across the table in line with the blade to use as a reference datum. To do this you need a new blade that is absolutely true, I checked the blade with a dial gauge first.
I also checked that the slot was in line with the blade with the dial gauge at the same time.

Please let me know if the plate you glued on the surface is stainless steel or aluminum

i had to make one myself. the one that came with my saw had no track and before EVERY cut, i had to measure front and back to make sure it wasnt toed in or out (it would be, always).

Hi love this build and planning on making this. I have a question though as I may be missing something. Why is there such a big gap where the angled steel sits 03:12? Wouldn't it be better to just be the thickness of the steel (3mm) so it sits in tight so there is no play at all?
