Marvel fans are still stuck in cope mode but lets face it, Top Gun 2, Avatar 2 and now Creed 3 have shown that the public are done with generic superhero stuff.

i think the reason Kevin Feige hired Rick and Morty writers because he thought he can strike lightning in the bottle again like how he hired Community series Directors like the Russo brothers when they did Captain American WS, CV and the Avengers IW and EG. I felt Kevin style was unorothodox in who he chooses to do his movies which worked but now his golden touch has turned to rust with identity politics

What’s funny Mr. H is that I saw some cops amongst MCU Stans. One of them in Den of Nerds said that the film will be remembered in years because of Kang Dynasty. Beyond being hilarious in showcasing the blind consumer mentality, it is also an admission of failure. Keep drinking that cope as the MCU slowly but surely erodes itself away.

Creed III was a great movie. I went in not knowing Michael B Jordan directed it and was very impressed.

Cocaine Bear was $1.5M short on beating Ant-Man. I wouldn't be surprised if it does next weekend.

The real problem with the MCU is the same reason why Marvel cant sell more than a 100k comics no matter the title - the universe is too complex, it feels like a second job to get all the characters and their history etc. Add to this no competition and too much politics and you get what you get.

I really don't care about Creed, and care even less about Ant-man 3.
There's no Creed without Rocky, and Stallone got screwed out of the Rocky/Creed property.
The Creed franchise has been really overrated. It tarnished Apollo's legacy, and Creed II could have been so much better than what we got.

So yeah ant man 3 cannot be hidden that it has bombed mostly because of its budget and it being the opener.

I am curious why so many outlets are throwing out so many random records and accolads at creed 3 it clearly has done fantastically.

My only thought is that maybe the bigger revune is once again masking that no more people came to see it than the last one....but even then that just shows they budgeted wisely and so is not an issue maintaining levels as addtional sequals come out is not a bad place to be at all...considering hte trend is nor ally downward

I know GotG 3 will give the MCU false hope thinking that they can make money out of it. After that spiderman is all that is left and its Sony. No I dont think Deadpool 3 will be that good. Deadpool 2 was so shit it shocked me.
