Interesting thoughts. I happen to be a HUGE fan of both artists. Dimash has the best voice in the world to me. His agility vocally is unparalleled. He can reduce me to a blubbering mess... more than any other artist. Does that make Hozier "less" and Dimash "more"? Nope. I love them both. Both have amazing original compositions. Hozier is a master at lyrics. Dimash didn't write the lyrics for Unforgettable Day. Does that mean Hozier is the better composer? Nope. All artists have their strengths. I love both of them. I was privileged to see Hozier live on tour in 2015. He was amazing! One day, I hope I get the privilege to see Dimash live.

i loved Hozier when he came out so much i got his album...LOVE IT...
but the purity of spirit or MIND attitude of Dimash...i have fallen in LOVE WITH DIMASH where his voice fills my brain through the day..i wake up and it's in my mind...(this since February 6th 2019 when i discovered Dimash...DImash is the rea thing...doesn come often...plus..i WELCOME the lack of political social message that sadly is polluting Hozier...the title of his new record..? ugh...no!...this is all good..but still verbal...i can just go listen to Hozier..enjoy it...but it's all Dimash for me...a young man that doesn dominate the English language yet..and...not feeling the loss...Dimash is a SHOWMAN...a Freddie Mercury...with more opera in it...im going right now and LISTEN and watch the cutest guy also...its more for women actually i notice that too...unless you let yourself, ...fall in love...with his singing...and his direct approach...all the best...

Would you explain why you are doing this stupid thing comparing somebody to somebody???? You like Hozier? God bless you! Others like Dimash. OK. Others like both. OK! Why are you trying to pit smb. against smb.? For me Hozier is good to listen to while driving, Dimash is something different. But I don't bother myself to compare him with smb. I don't care! I like a lot of singers but only Dimash makes me feel goosebumps all over my body and butterflies in the stomach.

love the things you guys talked about, I kinda felted that way too for the low notes, like I couldn't feel the sensation of whats happening, anything from C4 and higher is where I would feel the body engaging and supporting and it felt more controlled than the lower notes in a sense :)

I recently found a spot where im cutting excessive bottom_end of frequencies without going nasal and it just lets me feel released with all the vowels on the same place. Its easier singing deeper and narrow. And I am relaxing and openning jaw base, but my teeth almost touching. it is so opposite of what im used to do. I even stopped formal singing practice, just using that configuration in the evening for couple minutes, so that it can become natural. It really lets access those A4 -B4 with normal voice.

There is no comparison between Hozier and Dimash. Dimash is sooo much better, more pleasant to listen to. Also, Dimash’s songs stays in your head much longer so that you just HAVE to listen again and again.

I'm digging these conversations. I would have to agree with you about Hozier. My goodness do I love his sound.
I know my control is just not there yet, but I will keep trying. Especially because I'm lucky to be able to talk today after a serious surgery I had to have a few years ago. So I sing because I'm thankful that I can. I am just now learning about the head voice, chest voice and belting etc.. Very much a beginner, even though I've been singing my whole life. 🤣
