Agia Eirini - Αγία Ειρήνη

Agia Eirini is a beautiful, small village in the province of Nicosia. It is built at the southernmost end and at the same time at the highest point of the Elia valley. From Agia Eirini, one can enjoy the wonderful view towards the green Madari or following the Nature Trail which starts at the heart of the village, the magnificent view towards the Gulf of Morfou.

It is a village with rich vegetation and few crops. A special beauty in Agia Eirini is given by the Aderfoi forest, dominated by trachea pine. However, in addition to the trachea pine, the other types of flora, among them the tremithias, the larches and the androuklias, offer a special color to the village.

Agia Eirini is one of the villages in the Nicosia district that were significantly affected by urbanization.
