Btw, Splatoon also won Best Shooter, he said it quickly after Reggie went off the stage. Can't believe it won those two awards, such amazing news! :D

This proves that a game doesn't need voice chat to be a good multiplayer game. Voice chat is a necessity in a multiplayer game is nonsense. Go Splatoon!

Well deserved. I've never in my 25 years of gaming been interested in shooters. Granted, I've been a Nintendo fanboy this whole time, but I still owned other consoles so I could play games like GTAV. But never cared for shooters.

Then Nintendo showed us how THEY do shooters and now I'm hooked.

Splatoon was the only game that cost its pricetag and nothing more.

All DLC is free. The singleplayer was fleshed out. Community interaction built in, both from the community and from Nintendo.

I'm not saying Splatoon is bad by any means, because it's great, but Splatoon won because it's the only game on the list that remembered what game are about.
