EXCELLENT and same deal here that had me trying to contact the company offices & CEO direct to ask “What’s Up”!?!?! Then lo and behold a notification from B&H Photo alerts the monitor alone is in stock even though I pre-ordered the middle kit. But decided to get what I could! I ended up getting a BM USB-C Zoom Focus Demand cable that locks on both ends I hope works! Congratz on yours.

XLCS make a lockable monitor cable in a few sizes. About US$20.

finally this monitor! yes I also think they could have added a cable, there is no way to buy it separately. have you noticed any difference in battery life between BPU and V-Lock batteries at the same WH?

I had the same “shock” about the cable, and used from my Samsung T5 😅, but o quickly got some comments under my video about this monitor and people send me links to XLCS design, they have few options of this cable. I just received cables today and they are solid. Another option is locking cable from Blackmagic Design to theirs focus handle, seems like it also works with monitor, but I’ve seen that is about a 1m long, so a bit much.

hey, what monitor mount do you use? I'm reading the monitor has non-standard mounting points on the bottom and on the side. Did you need to get any specific one?

XLCS Designs has locking angled USBC cables for the Pyxis monitor.

Hi, may I ask what USB-C cable you are using? My monitor displays video however the touch screen function seem to not be working and also the monitor settings are greyed out on the Pyxis in settings. I just assume it’s a usb-c cable issue

Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but the white balance is drastically different from the pyxis monitor and the on camera side monitor. You seeing this issue?

The basic monitor will not ship with a cable, the other two sets will come with a cable.

Life hack — download Blackmagic Camera 9.2.2 Update to your computer and connect USB-C cable to your PYXIS. Update the PYXIS using Blackmagic Camera Setup.

The update it is originally for the 12K LF CF module but is safe for the PYXIS and is an option in Setup.

And BAM … most USB-C cables should now work. 😜

I have to say the lack of a USB cable seems kind of odd given that this is designed to work with a locking USB cable, and while locking cables are available few places have options search for them specifically meaning one is likely going to go for the Blackmagic cable if that feature is desired. While the cable is about $35 it does mean that the true entry cost with the cable is that much more as well. With that said people aren't being forced to buy it over less expensive non locking cables, but it makes this feel incomplete out of the box.

It's strange to me that a professional monitor lacks a locking USB-C. We all know the issues that USB-C can have; am I the only one who thinks this?
