Skeleton Punk Rocker, Costco Halloween Animatronic new for 2023 for 149

The wife was at Costco and told me they had 2 Animatronics set up and sold there. One was this 'Skeleton Punk Rocker' sold for 149 at the store and 159 online including shipping. He is a new item for 2023 and I like him, so I went back and bought him. Since I was there and saw they also had the 10ft Towering Reaper that Spirit Halloween was selling for 399 at the time for 249, I bought that too, even though that was 400 cash burned and though I like these two, they are not on my must have list.
The Skeleton Punk Rocker is life size, stands about 6ft tall and is surprisingly pretty well built. It is physically heavier than the standard prop in his price range and feels well built. Instructions are not great. They seem like they are written by someone who English is not there first language. One hiccup I saw was that when you put his pants on, it just tells you to slide them over the frame and then it goes to the next step. Doesn't say anything about the pants having a front or back and other than 2 slots, the pants look identical as far as front and back. I assumed the slots went to the front where his guitar hooks up and I was right. I would have dreaded trying to get his pants off to switch them around after it was further assembled. The other gotcha for me was that for a while, I couldn't find the wire coming from the control box that goes to his hand. It is tucked way up in his shoulder and hard to see or find. Other than that, assembly was straight forward. Steel frame, some pool noodle foam things to give him a better body shape, and clothes over the foam pool noodles. Frame, head and arms either snap into locked slots or hang into slots. No misaligned plastic pieces that some props have. Even comes with 4 heavy ground stakes to stake him in the ground if outside. Like I said, he has some weight to him.
I like his motion, especially compared to the Lowes version, the 'Bluetooth Reaper with Guitar'. With the Lowe's version, his eye's light up and he bops his head. This Costco one has head and mouth movement, eye's light up., and one of his hands strums the guitar. Also, the Costco one looks a lot cooler too, not to mention the Costco one is 149 while the inferior Lowe's one is 199. I do like that the Lowe's one has Bluetooth though and this one does not. Has 5 preprogrammed songs only. Lowe's also has a Bluethroat drummer that I think is cool, but the drummer sells for 249. Thats a lot of cash for what the drummer does. His arms swing up and down like he is playing the drums, but they are random, not timed with the music.
The Rocker has a control box with Volume Control, switch for either Off, On with Timer, 6hrs on 18hrs off, or IR sensor. Comes with a 5.9v power supply and also the 4 heavy ground stakes for outside. I like this guy and especially so for the price. I give him an 8 on a 1-10.
