The Charleston Animal Society Humane Education Department is dedicated to teaching kindness and compassion towards all living things. In 2019, we taught over 22,000 lessons, hosted 650 hours of programming at the shelter, and visited nearly 40 schools in the Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester County school districts. In light of the current coronavirus COVID-19 situation, we have had to suspend in-person programming until further notice, but want to keep with our commitment to our mission by continuing to engage with our students.
