It's called Death Valley for good reason.

130 is a slow cooker setting...this guy was getting air fried, from one rider to another, riding in tripple digits isnt always smart riding

130F is an average temperature in that particular spot. There are absolutely heat pockets in the 140F range and a above and the air moving over sufficiently hot or reflective surfaces can drive temps even higher. You can quite literally go into shock and heatstroke simultaneously, in such conditions.

The namesake is well established: Death Valley.

I dunno... maybe don't visit Death Valley in the summer because it's called Death Valley and has been 130 degrees in the past.
Maybe visit in October...

basically what happens if you're on a motorcycle going through death valley in July or August you are being cooked alive in an air fryer. I am surprised anybody survives that ride in the summertime.

I miss the days when they were telling us we were going to freeze to death

Who's idea 💡🤔 is to ride into Death Valley during summer? Did they thought its a joke?

It's 90° at 9:00 pm, Willamette Valley, Oregon. Unheard of nite time temps.

Eh. Summer 2011 in Whitewater, CA we had 134 outside. Swamp/evaporative cooler inside, dual sets of 2 liter bottles swapped out between the swamp and the freezer each morning.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't be riding in the intense heat.

This is not even the high record its 134F. Its known for being dangerous due to its heat, it has the record for the highest temperature recorded on earth.

Who does a motorcycle run during this week?

The park ranger, Nichole Andler, said that a rescue helicopter couldn't be sent into Death Valley to assist the bikers because the extremely hot air had become insufficiently dense to provide the rotor blades their required lift. If that is the case, how come the Ingenuity helicopter drone is able to lift off the surface of Mars and fly around in the thin Martian atmosphere?

The hottest temperature ever officially recorded on Earth was 134 degrees in Death Valley in July 1913, though some experts dispute that measurement and say the real record was 130 F recorded there in July 2021.

That's very sad. Is bike riders made very bad choices.

I went to Death Valley in February for 4 days and the weather was perfect then. It was actually a bit chilly and you needed a light jacket. I definitely would not go during the summer.

the temperature for death valley is not surprising, someone trying to ride across it in said temperature and literally getting cooked to death is... also not surprising.

Notice how they are measuring temperature close to the ground and before it was measured at 4 feet off the ground
