■ Sergio Perez found himself in yet another disastrous situation in which he might lose his seat from 2025 onwards, but the bigger threat is that Red Bull are likely considering a mid-season switch now that the competition in the constructors and the driver’s championship has racked up to the point of the Austrian squad not having any comfort to deliver with one driver only. After the latest statements coming from Horner, Marko and Ricciardo, as well as Perez’s brutal self-critique of his performance, could we see a change in scenery sooner rather than later, and more importantly, is Ricciardo the right choice for this situation?

Believe it or not, but Red Bull once again opened up about a potential replacement where Ricciardo goes to RB and Perez gets fired from the RB seat, this is because Perez his current performance is far below expectations

Then you're probably wondering, ''doesn't he have a contract'', yes he does! but within the contract there are certain performance related agreements that if Perez doesn't meet those, Red Bull is free to replace him with someone else.

I hear a lot of “could”, “perhaps”, “possibly”, “may” and “would” in these videos.

Yuki will never get to drive for the senior Red Bull team. He will be out when Honda leaves Red Bull.

They should try Max/Ric duo and Yuki/Lason duo this year before deciding the 2025 line up. But definitely Perez should be benched for now.

In most recent races, I forgot Checo was racing

Why does Red Bull think Checo, a driver who prefers understeer, can drive a Max Verstappen driving style car. Get a number 2 driver who also prefers to drive an oversteer car just like Max prefers.

Perez is a tough fit at RB. Team is centered around Max and Max likes the car set up much different than Perez. As it better suits Max, it hurts Perez. Ricciardo, though under performing by his standards, does bring huge marketing in multiple markets and he likes his car set up similar to Max. Not saying he'll recapture his previous glory, but he'd be a safer 2nd option than Perez. For Yuki, I"d be a bit afraid of his temper causing issues on track with Max. Yuki wants to win, Max expects special treatment. Lawson is a 'remains to be seen.' He needs more seat time.

I'd like to see how Danny does back in an RB. His confidence could skyrocket. He's finally back with RB after all these years.

This could really kick Danny into another amazing run with RB.

Red Bull should absolutely replace Perez with Ricciardo for the rest of this season. This will free up the VCARB seat for Lawson this season. Plus, Ricciardo has said that his desire was to ultimately retire with Red Bull, so there is a chance that if he gets that seat for a half season and rediscovers his form that puts him on a podium (or maybe even a race win), Ricciardo may end up retiring on his own terms. Of course, Red Bull can always sack him at the end of the season if they so desired.

Either way, the team needs to do something if they want to keep the championship titles secured. With Ricciardo, you have someone who understands the RB philosophy and someone who will be willing to play the team game. More importantly, he is immediately available to swap.

Yuki would explode getting dominated by Max, DR3 is mature enough to accept he’s the #2 driver and that’s his role.

I think they should swap Perez and Ricciardo for the remainder of the season.
And if Daniel gets the job done give him a 1+1 for 25/26
And have Yuki and Liam at Racing Bulls.
If it doesn’t work out for Daniel in the senior team then swap him back to Racing Bulls and promote either Yuki or Liam.
Then let Daniel finish his career as a mentor in Racing Bulls and then move to an off track position within the Red Bull organisation.

Just FYI, Sargeant didnt outqualify Perez 7x, only 3, but it is still absolutely mad to even think about that it doesnt even sound out of place, really puts into perspective just how awful Perez has been lmao

Checo brings in massive sponsorships. F1 is about money first and foremost. Its funny how the criticism for Checo is non-stop but all the other drivers are not criticized because their teammate isnt Max. Take the facts that if they replace Checo, it's not to compete with Max, that seat will remain an after thought as they only prioritize Max.

Love to see Riccardo back in that seat again..

I mean having a car fully tailor made for a single driver probably doesn't help a ton...

Nothing will happen while Helmut Marko makes the call, he favours a junior that has only gained 2 points from 5 races yet the media have put Lawson as the next best thing since sliced bread. If the media looked at times instead of where a driver has been placed they will see that Daniel has not been far from the lead car on times, so is he really going that bad . Why have they not had a go at Leclerc who has everything yet has failed .

This is dumb. Daniel has had 3-4 decent races since he was back, and the rest have been just as meh as his time at McLaren. If your not gonna give yuki a chance then go straight to lawson as McLaren did with Oscar
