Oh my goodness, thank you so much for reviewing this, I've been looking at their acoustics five-ever, and I haven't been able to find anyone on here I trust to actually review it! Great job Sean!!

I just wanted to tell you that when I started building guitars I first bought a kit. Even when I didn’t know a thing about guitars I knew that all the stuff that came wit the kit was pretty much junk! I built that first guitar and it came out pretty good! After I started watching your channel I learned a lot more about guitars ! I’ve since built 10 more guitars by buying old guitar bodies, bondo tHem paint them and clear coat therm. I have given away every guitar that I’ve made. ! Some to family and friends and I’m donating two guitar to my grandchildren’s school auctions! I’ve donated to a high school music dept. I can’t tell you how much advice you have given to me . Thanks so much!

That sounds so good. Wow. The touch of the hands who can make a cigar box sound good. That is sweet!

I can tell, simply by looking at it that that is a "top notch" instrument. I especially like that beveled edge at the top of the body, where the right forearm rests on the guitar. That looks COMFY! The binding is beautifully done and the bracing inside is the cleanest work that I have EVER seen. I WANT a FIREFLY acoustic of my own! 🤗

You are awesome! Glad I stumbled on your video. The firefly was my first acoustic guitar. I’ve since moved on to Breedlove, then Taylor, and seagull. Oddly enough though I went back and purchased this guitar again.. it is a beaut and there’s something about having that first one! lol. I currently have it on display in the living room as a couch guitar for guests.

I gotta say that acoustic sounds pretty damn good, very crisp and loud. I only own 1 acoustic but I'd definitely buy that if I was looking for another...

Sean, if I ever start officially liking country songs, it will be this channel that does the trick. I really liked that song, "Friendly Zone." I reminded me of something my mother's mother told me many years ago, before I was even a high schooler. She learned I was getting into music and writing a few songs, and she said that I should remember always to tell a story. Obviously I still remember that moment (and love the living daylights out of that grandmother!) That's what that song did, and that's the reason why people like country. It's trying to get me too! Oh, well, it's not like I could actually LOSE ...! Once again, Sean -- great song!

The Firefly sounds amazing, and I’m a fellow Taylor owner/lover! Love the binding. Great to see an acoustic on the channel, too. I miss you building custom guitars - especially since I have several of them!

The fret dressing montage music sounded great! Well done!

I definitely don’t see a $1700 difference in the sound, the Taylor has more high end, and body but the firefly has more low end and mids. Both sounded great. Now that seamless shirt change at 1:25 about made me slap myself cause I thought was trippin! You know I gotta get my hands on that acoustic!

That’s a really nice looking guitar! I’d personally love to see more acoustic action on this channel. Every electric player should have an acoustic and vice versa— makes people more versatile as players. It’s also nice to just grab an acoustic guitar and get straight to playing instead of having to take the time to plug in and set up with an electric. Acoustic guitars are incredible! Sean needs to get more people on board with acoustic guitar!

Very surprised by the playability. My only “complaint” is that there’s a lot of glue mess all over the inside. That could affect the top’s ability to resonate. Imagine how much better these guitars can be if they took a little more time to clean up each guitar’s glue and make sure the bracing is done right. I’m just nitpicking, though. It really does sound great, but that’s the one thing I’d love to see improved.

I also agree about those tuners. Those were super loose. That’s not okay to leave the factory. That’s easy for most of us to tweak, but a beginner won’t even know there’s a problem or that it’s not normal. FireFly needs to check that out more.

Now your Taylor is still better — but overall, the FireFly can still compete and be used in a jam right alongside your Taylor. It wouldn’t sound cheap or out of place.

Those songs are amazing! I might be a city slicker, but Sean is making me want to go country with his music! The lyrics and arrangements and totally pro. I’m so glad you started recording and putting music out there again. Totally awesome! Can’t wait for more!

My favorite acoustic that I own is a beat up (but great playing) Yamaha that I got for $60. I'm so grateful to live in a time when it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to own a sweet guitar.

Interesting. Firefly definitely has a solid rep for quality affordable electric guitars. Nice to see that it extends to its acoustic lines.

That looks and sounds like a fine instrument! I have more than enough guitars already, but I love watching stuff like this. When I took up the guitar in 1964, nothing affordable was playable!
