I am a govt employee of 30 years who 100% supports Trump. So much excess. Too many remote workers. (Not me ...ever) thank you 🙏

We the people voted for a reduction in government bloat and spending. PERIOD.

Government workers should not get special treatment.

It is not merit-based if you cannot be fired for not doing a necessary job.

I was a Federal Contractor for 7 years. My job only existed because of the government employees’ incompetence. I watched in person the hiring spree & preference for trans, minorities & women during the Obama administration…people that couldn’t type, couldn’t spell, lazy…only check a specific box. It was insulting as a tax payer.

A Democrat talking about corruption. What a joke!

So civil service workers cannot be fired. Our founding fathers did not want big federal government.

if they are so skilled, and can make more money in the private sector, they shouldn’t have anything to worry about

All employees, federal and private, should be hired based on their working qualifications, not on who voted Dem or Repub.

Outside of specific departments/high end positions, federal workers will not be terminated based on political affiliation. They will be terminated because government is wasteful, and many of those jobs are unnecessary.

Working for the Government should not be a Get Rich Forever on Taxpayers Expense

No one is trying to destroy civil service, but review of jobs and functionality is way over due. People must be willing to take on knew roles

When I was a federal employee, I was sickened by the laziness of those who were "tenured" while others of us handled many times the workload of those who had no incentive to put forth the effort to retain their positions. i wholeheartedly applaud these long-overdue efforts to trim the fat. I can only imagine the inefficiency of the many who don't even have to show up for work as has been the norm for the last 4 years.

If lying with a straight face while waving your arms around were an Olympic Sport, Kaine and Warner would be covered with gold medals.

I worked for the federal Gov't. You can cut it 50% and be more efficient. That is why they call them none essential.
Employes are hired based on politics. Especially the Justice Dept.

Didn't congress just have a hearing on federal employees refusing to go back to the offices for work?

Referring to GS employees as a "workforce" is really a stretch. If half of them were gone, no one would notice.
