How to install and configure a mail server with Postfix, Dovecot, and Mozilla Thunderbird on Debian

Hello everyone,
In today's video, I will show you how to install and configure a mail server with Postfix, Dovecot, and Mozilla Thunderbird as a mail client, and we will test the send/reception of a mail.

In the first part, we will deal with the case where the client and the server are on the same machine. In my case, I'm using my Kali Linux Virtual Machine.

Then in the second part, we will simulate sending/receiving an email between two users dsi21 and sem21 using two email clients, Thunderbird (sem21 account) under my Kali Linux VM, Thunderbird (dsi21 account) under my Windows host machine. We'll create these users next.

I have setup postfix, dovecot, and thunderbird in my ubuntu system, while installing post fix i select local only i am able send email to my self only locally only, but what how i have to setup thunderbird and configuration so i can receive and send email between my ubuntu and windows machine they are in same network. Getting confuse which username, email and password i have to enter there in my windows machine for that during account setup

Didn't know we could send emails on telnet.
And not just local emails either - I sent them direct to external servers and has my reply stored in the Maildir folder.

You could help me do the same procedure but in Ubuntu Server 22.04 I would like to implement a local mail on the server for internal communication and although I have looked for a way to achieve it, something always fails. My work depends on it. I could pay for it if you require it. Best regards.
