I am a science teacher and I am going to use this video in class when we get to earth and space. The kids have the worst time understanding a light year and I love all the different comparisons with "bike minutes" and "plane hours." Thank you!!!

A second is equal to the duration of 9.192.631.770 periods of radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the ceasium 133 atom. Not one 86400th of a day, this is because that the moons gravitational pull which may sometime slightly change the duration of a day a couple microseconds.... DUH
