Pie Week: Dying for Pie

This is my absolute FAVORITE episode of spongebob. I really don't have a reason for liking it so much... but maybe it's the character development. Spongebob being cheerful and loving really tugs you knowing he might die in a couple of hours. Squidward shows he actually cares for Spongebob a little, and Mr. Krabs, as you said, is sort of a kind mentor trying to do the right thing. And there are so many quotable moments from this episode like Squidward's bumper sticker, "Don't ask me about my day" and Mr. Krabs's line: "Note to self - watch out for Squidward."

Honestly, I can't really think of many cartoon episodes that are centred around pie. Odd, because pie is often used in comedy, especially animated comedy.
Yet "Dying For Pie" and "Mother Mae-Eye" from Teen Titans are literally the only examples that come to mind... Though I think Jimmy Neutron did something with pie too... And there was a Danny Phantom episode with strawberry rhubarb pie in it or something. It's been a while since I last watched a cartoon, so maybe I'm just forgetting some. ...Man, I gotta go back and watch some cartoons.
