Close to six decades ago, audiences were first introduced to the Robinson family in the campy yet endearing science fiction series Lost In Space. The show premiered in 1965 and ran until 1968. In November of 2021, for the first time since the series ended, actress Marta Kristen along with her co-stars Angela Cartwright and Bill Mumy reunited in costume to promote an auction called Monsters & Friends: Featuring the Kevin Burns Collection with Heritage Auctions.

The event happened shortly after Cartwright and Mumy teamed up to put out a book titled Lost (and Found) in Space2: Blast Off Into the Expanded Edition. The memoir featured close to a thousand photos from the set of the iconic series and more than 600 newly discovered images that were hand-selected by veteran TV stars.

Right around the time of the Heritage Auctions event, Marta Kristen gave an interview with Fox News in which she opened up about how she landed the role of Judy Robinson. She further discussed what her fellow castmates were really like and how she managed to cope with the show's ending. The interview was quite informative and for the first time in close to 60 years, we learned several never-before-heard details about what it was like to be a part of the Lost in Space Cast.

Watch this video to learn what the 77-year-old Norwegian-born actress, Marta Kristen, had to say about her time playing Judy Robinson. We'll recap that interview with Fox and see what Lost in Space rumors Kristen confirmed throughout it. We'll also be taking some time to discuss several other fascinating details about the show and how it still manages to capture our imaginations all these years later.

I grew up watching this show and it remains as one of my favorites. All the cast members seemed like genuinely nice people. My favorite characters were Will Robinson and the robot. I loved when the robot would say, "Danger Will Robinson, danger!" Also Dr. Smith had a number of funny insults he said to the robot by calling him a clumsy clump or a bubble-headed booby among a few other choice names. I thoroughly enjoyed this show as it was funny, entertaining and portrayed good family values.

It’s nice to see that the cast got along so well. Ms. Kristen is still a stunner.

Marta was a stunner. I was only 8 when I first saw the show and didn't know anything about girls except they "were different", but I knew what I liked! I had no idea Marta's childhood was quite difficult.

As a seven year old kid, I loved Lost in Space. I can remember my mom telling me there was a new show coming on soon that I might enjoy, and after viewing the first episode, I was hooked! And who was my favorite character? robot, of course!

I loved that show. I was in tears back then when the show ended. My fave person on there was the robot. He always did the arm flaying saying “danger danger”

Lost in Space premiered in 1965, and this 11-year-old became obsessed with the series. I am now 68 and still watch it regularly as well as having the entire series on DVD, and a large assortment of collectibles. The years have allowed me to personally meet June Lockhart, Bill Mumy and Angela Cartwright. I also became friends with the late Flint Mitchell, from whom I purchased many collectibles over the years. Even after I was married, my young daughter always asked, "Daddy, what do you want for your birthday? For Christmas? For Father's Day? and it became a family joke that my answer was always "a silver flight suit with red trim!" Imagine my surprise Christmas morning 1999, when I opened a package from my daughter that contained the flight suit!
I will always be a fan, no matter how silly and campy some of the episodes got (The Great Vegetable Rebellion). I loved the music and the show's themes, but especially loved the suite that Herman Stein created starting with S1Ep6 "Welcome Stranger", a theme that became about the tender family moments that permeated throughout the series, something Lost in Space was so very good at.
Lost in Space forever!!!!

One of my favorite TV series of all time! I saw every show as a young kid back in the '60s. And I will still watch an episode every now and then just for nostalgia. The most amusing thing to me is that the story is supposed to take place in the 1990s. It demonstrates what dreamers we were in those days; e.g, flying cars and stuff like that were right around the corner. May we forever be Lost In Space. 🙃

God, this show was SO much a part of my childhood. I can hear the sound effects in my head as well as the music. Had a huge crush on Marta and envied Don who got the girl AND piloted the ship!

If I had to pick a show that touched me the most when I was only 6 years old it’s Lost in Space, I remember it in black & white and the 60’s being described as “simpler” times is an understatement. I was so happy then, I loved all the characters, Judy & Don my favorites, Will, Dr. Smith and the robot a close second. The spaceship was the coolest thing ever and so were the chariot and space pod. I lost count how many times I’ve watched the entire series on DVD 🙂🙂🙂

This show brought us an incredibly iconic tag line on par with "I'll be back" and "Go ahead, make my day". DANGER WILL ROBINSON! Wonderful stuff 👏

I was 7 years old in 1965 I watched Lost in Space and Star Trek religiously each week. Of course there was always Batman and The Green Hornet too. Great TV at that time. I still watch all of those shows today. Hard to believe it was near 60 years ago.

What a great show. Brings back good memories as a child. As a child wishing I could be on the Jupiter 2. Made laugh and some cry. Today's kids could take a listen love and respect for parents and elders.

I would watch this every day after school. When the channel unexpectedly replaced it with a Bugs Bunny show I actually cried. Lol. Hey, I was 8 years old.

I used to watch the reruns all the time in the late 70's as a little girl and admired Judy and Penny so much. I wanted my last name to be "Robinson" so I could have the same full name as Judy. This show convinced me to become an actress but I've never come across a show as good as this one. I love doing sci fi movies but nothing compares to "Lost in Space". We need another show like this on TV for sure!

I was always so proud as a little girl that Marta used my name of Judy on the show. I would come home from school and watch the reruns in the afternoons every day. I knew I wanted to be an actress from watching her and used to create my own Lost in Space scenes with the neighborhood kids.

I watched the Lost in Space reruns when I was a kid. Now I'm watching them on MeTV. I got lucky enough to catch the pilot episode and they're running them in sequence. The second season just started last week. My wife thinks I'm crazy.
