Great episode! Love to hear more detailed talk on specific prophecies and especially eschatology in light of Open Theism.

the bible is clear that the 430 years was from the time Abram was called out in Gen 12. to the same day the angel of death passed over in Egypt and Moses led them out the next morning...The 400 years spoken of by Stephan began 30 years after Abram was called out, when Isaac was weaned at the age of 5, with the affliction of Isaac by Ishmael, this began the 400 years which from that point ran concurrent with the 430 years. The time that Jacob and his family  first came into Egypt was 215 years, the Hebrews resided in Egypt for another 215 years for a total of 430 years...From the time Jacob came into Egypt they prospered in Goshen for another 70 years until Joseph died. Then arose a new Pharaoh that knew not Joseph, this is when they entered into slavery in Egypt some 40 years before Moses was Born.  They were slaves in Egypt for about 140 and Bonnie.

Exodus 12-40 needs to be carefully understood...If they were slaves in Egypt for 400 years Moses mother would have had to be 257 years old when Moses was born. It can be searched out by dates in the text...I have a whole study that pinpoints exactly when they went into Egypt....Moses was the 7th generation and grandson of Amram...The dates are all there in the study. I will email it to you.. I brake down Exodus 12-40 also and clear up the confusion..Jacob was 130 old when he went into Egypt, which was 185 years after Isaac was born, Isaac was born 25 years after Abraham was called out in Gen 12 at the age of 75, and Isaac was weaned at the age of can all be proven in scripture...the children were 4th generation and already in Egypt, they remained their for another 215 years.  Moses being the 7th generation, the life span was getting shorter, not mathematically possible they could have been in Egypt for 430 years
