My daughter has been a loyal fan of August Alsina since was in middle school. I can remember her begging to go to an Usher concert, not to see Usher, but to see August and get one of his shirts, way back in I think it was 2012. She has long since said she didnt understand why he wasnt getting the play on the radio he deserved and said people were sleeping on him. She would be quick to play his music for folks too. So August Alsina name has been regularly in my household for the last 7 years. It's crazy how I'm seeing his name now all over FB groups and national news. While I feel it is unfortunate he has gained mass public attention off of drama, I am glad people all over are hearing his music and seeing how talented he is and what they been missing. I do hope that the drama dies down so people can really appreciate and flock to him because of his music and not because of the juicy gossip.
