Displaced Google Analytics for Mobile dev here. Firebase Analytics is too limited for all but the simplest needs, while BigQuery is an incomplete Big Data solution (really you want a full BI suite at that level, and more control over data structure). This demo confirms my fears - a question like, "Are sales in France affected by language translation" would be trivial to answer using old-style Analytics, but here you have to actually build-out what GA already does "under the hood". I'd rather just have a pay-as-you-go plan for Google Analytics than build it myself piecemeal.
