Testing Blackmagic Design Gyro Camera Stabilizer | Software 7.9

Показать описание
New camera software update for Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Cameras! Version 7.9 brings a new UI as well as a hidden feature they just brought to light. Gyro Camera Data! Now with DaVinci Resolve 18 you can stabilize the jitter and motion from your camera for smoother shots.

While it works incredibly well, be advised that motion blur cannot be compensated for. If you know you'll be using this for bumpy shots, try using a 2 degree shutter angle or something really fast so that the motion blur is minimal. It looks more digital and slightly less film like, but could potentially be better for you depending on your situation.

I did some tests! I discovered that gyro stabilisation is missing in Davinci when using stabilized lens.

Sorry at 6:18 it says Gyro Stability off, but it is definitely still left on. I missed that in the edit. So keep that in mind. Thanks for watching! I hope this test was helpful or insightful for you.

i tried gyroflow with R5C, and at 24mm lens, if you want to avoid the blur after stablization, there is a shutterspeed rule to follow. when Walking, it should be set to 1/250 or faster, the faster the better. when Running it should be 1/500 or faster.

This is simply awesome. Now these cameras can be handheld without a rig.

Did you find using q1 or q5 gives you better results, and did you calibrated the sensor before use. On my 6k pro I'm running the dzofilm lens 20-55 super 35 and shot at q1 and did some test in my backyard and butter smooth with with gyro applied

Thanks for sharing this, man. Can't wait to try my Samyang 14mm T3.1. Do you have to get the beta for Resolve? or is it available now? Thanks

Might be the time of day, but I'm also sure your grade was very nice. Often I don't like the look the 18-35 gives (and I own it too) and I like what you've done here.

Curious if one was to shoot in a higher frame rate, that it might also make for less shake blur. Like, 60 fps and an increase in shutter angle? Any thoughts there?

Cool but how to you update the camera? I plugged it into the software and it says that mine is updated... but no change on the camera so far and davinci studio is the 17.4.6 version not the 18...? thanks
