How I Chopped a Car to Save my 240sx

Big decisions are starting to be made for the outcome of this 240sx build. Elmarc and I pulled as much of the frame as we could. But now I am in need of parts. Through the help of some great friends, I was able to obtain a 240sx shell that has most of the parts I need for the diy repair. It always saddens me to part out a 240sx S13.. But, in this video, this is how I chopped a car to save my own. The 240sx that gets chopped up, will be put to good use.

Now I will have to figure out how to get the chopped car to the shop and how I will chop my 240sx to fit this parts..

I spent the last 7 years building this 1990 Nissan 240sx from the ground up. I swapped out the KA24e for a KA24de. Then once more for a RB25det out of a R34 Skyline and couldn't be happier. I have also converted the 240 to right hand drive, (which ended up saving my life!) After installing a few drift parts; such as a hydro E - Brake, and dual rear calipers, welded diff, solid suspension bushings and more, the car handled amazing. Surprisingly this S13 was able to drift and stay sideways perfectly despite the damage that was done to it.

"...it's not the same..." "...it wouldn't feel like my own car."

These words man... just like Akio with the Z. This is what non car guys will never understand :)

Keep up the good work! Wishing you clean air!

Watching you fix your 240 is really helping me de-stress with the accident I got into with my car. The damage to mine is little compare to yours but knowing that it can be fix helps. Your videos are pushing me forward to do more with my car once its fix. Thank you.

These videos are the proof that really love that car. You would do anything, everything you could to save your car as it saved your life once. Other people would ditch that shell right after the accident.

Keep it up, Prizza Mike! You are doing a really great job!

I'm sure we all know it would have been easier to swap everything into a new chassis but because it's yours and you've had it for such a long time, it has so much value for you.

Amazing work

Somtimes in life we have to make sacrifices.
That car had already made that sacrifice.
Don't be too sad, it's all for the greater good.
Big progress made, good work my friend.

Good answer about not rebuilding your car with the other shell....I would feel the same. Right on 👍. Labor of love.

Respect to you for rebuilding it. I could never take on a project like this

I totally understand why you'd want to do everything in you power to save your 240 and I 100% support it. A shell is, well, just a shell. Your car is truly unique and you've been through so much with it. Gutting it and transferring all the parts to a new shell would most likely feel like a shell of what your 240 once was. I look forward to seeing it back on the road. Best of luck.

So much respect for this project, Everyone could have bought a new shell and transferred parts but its not the same. The time and dedication spent on what others will call scrap will truly show in the end results

You're a hero for doing this and I salute you good sir. It's just hurts my heart and soul when I see a wadded up jdm icon beyond the point of repair. This is what makes this so admirable to me because most wouldn't even have attempted this.

Love your dedication man. I am the same way with my G35.. owned it for 8 years and have put everything I have into it. Seeing someone as stubborn as I am and not giving up on it no matter what is beautiful. Keep going bud 🤘

I love that you’re grinding out the videos aside from saving your car. Can’t wait to see how good it looks at the end of this whole process
