I doubt he was pronounced dead a week before actual death. By his muscles were so week that his breathing was not able to be noticed, he would’ve already had maybe a couple of days where he’d been not able to drink. To then go an additional 7 days without water seems highly unlikely when the general rule of thumb is not being able to go more than three days without water. On top of that you have someone whose breaths are so shallow that no one can see them meaning that he would be seriously deprived of oxygen. He wouldn’t have been able to live for a week like that
