I want to retire my old Ultratech that has survived military life, but I can't make up my mind, do I do another Ultratech(which I love) or get a Combat Troodon? 1st world problems 😅

Help please! My prized 2002 Ultratech grail knife has stripped out screw holes and I am hurtin bad over this. Please someone tell me your warranty service department can fix this somehow.

Someone told me Benchmade and Microtech both don't allow you to sharpen your own knives...or you void the warranties, and that you check with a microscope. Is that nonsense or true??
