Christ is Risen
And may Britain rise with Him

“Thank you for the tomb I’m sorry I broke it” is such a classic one-liner that it had to have been what Our Lord said to Joseph

I live in Geelong, Australia, the second largest city in Victoria. One of the original settler families of the area was the Austin family. They came from Glastonbury, UK. They were, at the time, the richest family in the colony, then known as The Port Phillip District of New South Wales. The Austins brought over the Glastonbury bush and planted it on their estate. They built hospitals, orphanages and schools in around Melbourne and Geelong. At the Protestant orphanage in Geelong, one of their projects, the bush was also planted. The orphanage was closed in the 1970s and became a military college and then a part of a large Protestant school called Christian College, which is still occupying the premises and land. I worked at the school for five years. Whilst cleaning out a cupboard I found a book detailing the history of the orphanage, the Austin Family, and the tree. Every thing you state your in video is the same as what I read. Unfortunately, the school wouldn't listen to my pleas to protect the tree as they considered it to be mediaeval Roman Catholic nonsense. I didn't get a chance to resue it. The school is called Glastonbury. The land between Melbourne and Geelong was once called Avalon. The name survives in the title of Melbourne's second airport, Avalon Airport. There's an international airshow held there every two years. The book I unearthed said that the staff of JoA was the spear that pierced the side of Christ, and the thorns of this judean tree were the thorns used to create the crown worn by Jesus.

Christ is Risen! Although I’m American, I adore the hymn “Jerusalem” and wondered how Christ would have walked in England. Thank you for the backstory!

Thank you for your labors in making these videos. I especially enjoyed hearing Jerusalem in the background all through this. ☦️

The richness of so many things lost because of fear - iconoclasm.

Glad you made this episode as well as Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus from Christ's time has always intrigued me.

I love this story! I first heard and read it about 37 years ago. I believe it's true. What better way to account for "the missing years of Jesus" than his travels with his Uncle Joseph." I've also read that he is the older brother of Mary and that he brought Mary with him to Glastonbury, where there is a church with a plaque dedicated to her.

Wonderful stories, indeed!

Britain and America = Ephraim and Manassah.
