The Enduro World Series is a relatively new discipline in mountain biking, but since it’s creation back in 2013 the EWS has gone from strength to strength and is now arguably in the running for the premier class of mountain bike racing. Here's why we think the EWS is the top contender.

I'd agree with how good EWS is, the footage just needs to be sorted in a way where it's watchable and as easy to follow as XC and DH

I gravitated to enduro riding organically. I live in the mountains now and the trail I run on everyday are enduro like trails. I came from a XC background and never had access to hard long DH runs. Now I'm hooked! BUT at 62 yrs old, pure DH is too dangerous but still fun. So Enduro is my sport, I love climbing I love picking lines as you go and the mental discipline it takes is life changing. My first race is coming in 1 week at CES Northstar California. I ride EDURO 50+ class on my Giant E Reign. Wish me well.

A live broadcast of the final stage (with a 1hr "pre-game" recap of the previous stages) will be what brings EWS to the next level in the minds of race fans. I'm happy to hear that is finally in the works! Fingers crossed, we'll be watching live coverage next year 🤞

Any MTB is better than no MTB, so I love literally anything 🤣

I've seen a lot of lifts taking over from the climbs at recent events. If it goes in that direction, then it takes away that element of stamina in my opinion.

I really found enjoyment in watching Enduro Racing and Lewis Buchanan is the first guy who caught my attention with his training vids and runs on his you tube channel. He is an awesome Enduro Racer, recently he did Red Bull Hardline on his Enduro bike, would be cool to see him do a ride with Blake or Sam

The locations are some of the best, the riders are amazing as well ! Im a recent fan of this type of riding...I'd never seen it before 2019 . Thanks for sharing, your knowledge and insight help me understand what I'm seeing so much more ! Peace

I’m looking forward to seeing how the EWS coverage will be improved going forward. It’s got a long way before it’s up to the standard of the XC and DH races but it’s certainly got potential. It’s the closest to “real world” mountain biking as a format although I think more could be made of the uphill element, it does feel a bit like a budget downhill race than a true all round format as it stands. This is all from a spectator perspective - it’s a fantastic participation sport but fun to do doesn’t make fun to watch

Excelent explanations. Thanks.

As a spectator an EWS race is a lot harder to follow than a XC or DH race. The coverage mostly focuses on the downhill sections anyway, which turns it into some lower tier DH race if you just watch the coverage. As some suggested already, the best way to fix this would be to time the climb sections and give them coverage as well. I wanna see the riders suffer in the uphills :)

Slowly becoming my fave EWS, the riding, riders, the locations, especially this year with Richie Rude and Jack Moir killing it

Ditch the lift access for any of the transfers, then you have world class. Don’t agree with that evolution of the sport of enduro. Should need the fitness, and bike that can make it both up and down for all segments.

Not just the best MTB discipline, but the best racing discipline of any type since 1980's Class B rally, hands down.

I think enduro is the most all round MTB event. Skill and strength of a downhill rider, stamina of an XC racer. Plus it resonates strongly with most riders, we love the downhill, but outside of a bike park we all have to pedal uphill

EWS is more fun no doubt and more accessible for weekend warriors who don't have the time to train for XC or don't have chair lifts to practice DH. Plus the chill climbs with your friends before each stage makes it something you can do with friends of all skill levels making it more social and fun.

I know most people who regularly watch the channel are aware, but you guys really should have included a disclosure of your stake in the EWS.

Great video…. Love EWS! Makes for a super interesting race and would love to watch some races in person…..

EWS would be much better if they had MUCH BETTER live video coverage, not just highlights of a few small sections of the race, utilizing more videographers, drones, computer graphics and stats.

EWS is the essence of mountain biking. It represents how people generally ride on weekends. The fact that anyone interested, can participate in EWS, makes it relevant to so many people. It means it's not reserved only for the elite and professional mtbers. Only thing travelling to so many locations with bike can be expensive. EWS should look for different locations around the world as well. They haven't even touched the Himalayas..
